The magic of Zharengard didn't die. It was deliberately buried.
And now someone wants to bring it back, no matter the consequences.
Back of the Book
Kioran Vidara was perfectly content with her quiet cleric's life. But then, she was asked to leave. Her pursuit of an unremarkable life shatters when she becomes inadvertently entangled in a suspected kidnapping, a potential murder, and a plot to return magic to a land where it has been dormant for over 700 years.
Along the way she makes new friends who are extremely extroverted and enjoy having… fun. All of a sudden, she finds herself crossing paths with the headmistress of the city’s most prestigious boarding school, an old flame who she never said goodbye to, an old college friend who’s in love with her, an older affluent gentleman who loves pastries and high fashion, a tattoo artist and his blacksmith sister (who help her with her magical abilities), a 761 year old man and his brother who is a ghost, and a man who inadvertently causes her to go blind.
Will Kioran ever get her peace back?
Welcome to Zharengard.
